Puppy Training
Home Up

For puppies 8 weeks to 4 months of age.
Private or Semi-Private classes are available.

You will learn the keys to having your puppy grow up to be a happy and confident dog - proper imprinting and socialization. We'll show you how to build a foundation of love, trust and respect that will carry through with your dog for the rest of his life.

A portion of each class will cover basic puppy problems such as: housebreaking, chewing, counter surfing, nipping, jumping and any other problems that are brought up by students.

We will start training your puppy with the commands that will be used in future classes as well. Your puppy will be introduced to: Here, Come, Sit, Stay, Down, Stand, and Loose Leash Walking. Through consistency and fair training methods your puppy will learn to happily respond to to your requests and will show a willingness to work with you.

All temperament types are welcome.

Insecure, soft or shy puppies need encouragement and confidence building. We'll teach you how to help your puppy to trust you, and to develop confidence in you and in themselves.

Harder and more outgoing puppies will be encouraged to develop to their full potential of being a confident, outgoing adult. Owners will be taught to handle their 'tough guys' with confidence, firmness and fairness. This ensures that their puppy understands their owner's role as the leader, and the puppy will grow up to be secure in your leadership and a happy companion.

Homework assignments and projects will be given at the end of each class and will be checked at the beginning of the next class. Students that follow our methods and do their homework will see a marked improvement in the bond that they have with their puppy, as well as great improvement in the dog's obedience and willingness to work for their owners.
