Basic Obedience

For dogs over 4 months of age.
Private or Semi-Private classes are available.

Buildinkg a solid working platform on the foundation that was begun in the Puppy Imprinting & Socialization Class. Dogs that have not gone through our Puppy class are welcome also.

Everyone wants a dog that is well behaved in the house, is obedient and is not tugging you across the park when you're out for a walk. The commands taught in this class will be: Here, Heel, Come, Sit, Stay, Down and Stand.

Homework assignments and projects will be given at the end of each class and will be checked at the beginning of the next class. Students that follow our methods and do their homework will see a marked improvement in the bond that they have with their dog, as well as great improvement in the dog's obedience and willingness to work for their owners.

Required Equipment:

	Flat, buckle type collar - either leather or nylon. Depending on the temperament of the dog, a martingale or nylon choke collar may be used. No prong collars, or electric collars will be allowed in the class.
	Six or Eight foot long lead - leather or nylon. No flexi-leads will be allowed in the class.
	Thirty foot long Stepline and the Puppy Tug will be explained in class.
	Proof of up to date vaccinations MUST be shown at first class or the dog will NOT be admitted to the class.
